How do I update my profile?

Log in and look at the top right corner. Click on the three dots and choose My Profile. Fill in your details and make sure the cell phone number includes your country code starting with a + sign.

Failing to update ID and phone number?

Make sure the phone number includes a country code e.g. +263.

Make sure you provide the correct Zim ID number including the two dashes. When you are doing everything right but still facing a problem it might be your device. Some phones, especially the old ones, have been posing a challenge to some when it comes to updating ID and phone numbers.

They do not support the mask used on the cell phone number and ID number fields. Please try using a different phone or PC.

How do I activate my account?

For now, only Zimbabweans who live in Zimbabwe will be able to make payments. You will need to update your profile and verify your cell phone  number. You can do this by clicking the Send or Receive button.

How do I verify my cell phone number?

Click on one of the Send or Receive button, you will be presented with a dialogue box that requires you to fill in the OTP (one-time pin) that was sent to your cell phone. Fill the OTP in the OTP box and click submit.

Your account will then be created on the blockchain, wait for a minute or two before you can start sending ZASH.

I haven't received my OTP?

Please check that you have a positive airtime balance (sometimes the cellular networks require you to have a balance before you can receive SMSs).

If you are still having a problem, after one minute you can use the Resend OTP button on the screen to resend your OTP.

Please bear in mind that sometimes the cellphone companies have delays on their side in sending the OTP.

How do I send ZASH?

You can only send ZASH to someone who is active on the system and has verified their cell phone number.

You also need to first get their Account Number. Click on send, fill account number and the amount. Double check and click make payment. Get the OTP sent to your phone via SMS and fill it in and click submit.

When you make a transaction on the blockchain, it cannot be reversed.

How do I receive ZASH?
All you need to do is activate your account, then send someone your Account Number and get them to send you ZASH.
Where is my referral link?

Click on the RECEIVE button and your referral link will be shown below your account number. Click on the copy icon at the end of the dialogue box with your referral link to copy it.

Now you can paste it in your groups and social media for your friends and family to join.

How many payments can I make each day?

You can only make 9 transactions per day.

Is there a mobile app that I can use?

No, we haven't yet developed a mobile application. We'll keep you posted as soon as we do.

How do I sell my ZASH on the exchange?

We have not enabled this functionality yet. While we do want people to be able to cash out over the longer term, our goal is to enable payments between Zimbabweans. We would have succeeded when Zimbabweans make payments between one another with reference to a market price. For now, we want to protect the market price and only as we see the transaction network growing sufficiently will we begin to enable people to cash-out on the exchange – and then in a very measured and orderly. We still need to develop appropriate exchange authentication processes for that step, which will include ID submission and biometric authentication. For now, enjoy transacting between Zimbabweans. Our goal is to be a currency that you can use in day to day transactions.

I don't live in Zimbabwe. How do I activate my account?

We have not enabled transaction functionality for people who are not Zimbabweans living in Zimbabwe. If you live outside of Zimbabwe, or you live in Zimbabwe but are not a citizen, you can sign up and see your balance. But we need to implement an identity validation process to ensure that we are not creating spam accounts.
